Bob is a senior international HR professional with extensive experience in Human Resources, Leadership and Organizational Development. Bob has lived in the UK, USA, Switzerland and Germany and worked on HR and organizational change projects across the world.

Bob is Secretary General of the World Federation of People Management Associations. He is Chair of CIPD Enterprises Ltd Board and is a Companion of CIPD. Bob has a number of other non-executive roles and is a Past President and current Vice President of the European Association for People Management (EAPM). He recently stepped down as Vice Chair of the governing body of the University of Bristol having reached the maximum permitted number of terms of office. After a career in senior international HR roles with Swiss based Ciba-Geigy, Ciba Specialty Chemicals and latterly BASF, he now leads ODHRM Consultants Ltd specializing in HR and OD Capability building.

He edited and co - authored a book on International HRM, ‘The Global HR Manager’ with Professor Pat Joynt and is a visiting speaker on UK and International MBA programs. He has also been a keynote speaker at national and international HR and Business conferences. These include CIPD’s Annual Conferences on HR and Learning and Development and SHRM’s national and global conferences and HRINZ’s national conferences . He has also delivered keynote addresses to the UN Global HR conference in Geneva, EAPM and WFPMA Congresses and at IFTDO World Congresses in India, Canada, Dubai and Bahrain.

As well as he is an adviser for Art and Design Backend Technology Engineering.

Suresh has over 20 years of experience in Broadcasting Technologies, Media Facility Companies and Educational Institutions. His expertise lies in placing technical and operational aspects across production, digital asset management, smart building, intelligent university systems, broadcast engineering and Multiplatform distribution and delivery. Also, he is specializing in engineering & business operations, real time media-over Global network, media transport. Contemporary he is specialized in the DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) like blockchain based services with artificial intelligent integration.

Suresh is well connected to professionals around the globe. Active participant in social networking and knowledge sharing. His people handling skills is one of the key qualities which he developed through experience. He is an innovative thinker and he has excellent leadership qualities. He teaches project management, strategic management and e-business as a visiting lecturer for MBA programs at University of Colombo, University of Moratuwa and Kothelawala Defense University in Sri Lanka. Chaminda has 20 years of experience in the industry, academia, research and consultancy in 20 countries in Asia, Africa and Europe and he has lived in Pakistan, Germany, Sweden, Spain and Switzerland before returning to Sri Lanka. Chaminda is a B.Sc. (Engineering) graduate from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. HR AND ENVIRONMENT – CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS

Uchita de Zoysa is has over 30 years of experience working in the public, private, media and civil society sectors specially on sustainable development, public policy, stakeholder engagement, social enterprise and integrated communications. During the past three decades, he has travelled widely across the world contributing to hundreds of conferences as a keynote speaker, presenter, facilitator and panelist including United Nations global conferences such as the Earth Summit (1992 in Rio de Janeiro), World Summit on Sustainable Development (2002 in Johannesburg), Rio+20 UN Conference on Sustainable Development (2012 in Rio de Janeiro).

In 2016, he was appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers as the Advisor to the first ever Minister of Sustainable Development and Wildlife in Sri Lanka. In this capacity, he led the design and facilitation of the National SDG Planning Process and also acted as the Chief Negotiator for Sri Lanka at key UN and international conferences on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development including the UN High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development and the UN Asia Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development in 2016 and 2017. He was instrumental in getting Sri Lanka the chairmanship of UNAPFSD in 2016 and thus negotiating regional outcomes for UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Most recently, he founded the Sri Lanka Stakeholder SDG Platform as a collective of CSOs, private sector, academia, professional associations, trade unions, etc. The objectives of the Platform are to facilitate an inclusive transformation and conduct independent monitoring, evaluation & reporting on SDGs. He is the editor of the Sri Lanka Voluntary Peoples Review (VPR) on SDGs and leading the countrywide and sector wise consultative process. He also is the Principle Architect of the SDG Transformation Lab which is working on both innovation for policy coherence and enterprise-led transformation to achieve the sustainable development goals.

He has held numerous international posts including the International NGO Steering Committee of the UNCED, NGO Steering Committee of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development, Advisory Board Member and Head of Asian Review on Sustainable Consumption for “SC.Asia” coordinated by the UNEP, SPACES International Working Group, SCORE Scientific Advisory Board, and as International Coordinator of Climate Sustainability Platform, and Initiator and Global Facilitator of the Peoples Sustainability Treaties (an alternative outcome beyond Rio +20), and Steering Committee Member of the Project Consortium of the EU-SWITCH Asia SCP-NPSC Sri Lanka.

Uchita de Zoysa is the author of several books including the “It has to be CLIMATE SUSTAINABILITY” which was launched at the Copenhagen Climate Summit in 2009. He has edited several international reports including the 'Asian Review on Sustainable Consumption', contributed to many books on the environment and sustainability, and has played a leading role in the formulation of global independent sector collective agreements such as the 'The NGO Alternative Treaties', the “Oslo Declaration on Sustainable Consumption” and the “Peoples Sustainability Manifesto”. In 1991, he created and lead the then largest environment & development NGO coalition in Sri Lanka called the “Public Campaign on Environment & Development” and edited the country’s first ever “Citizens' Report on Environment & Development”.

He has managed various projects on sustainable development, climate change, policy coherence, sustainable enterprises, integrated communications, etc. and is regularly invited by international agencies to speak, chair, facilitate and deliver capacity building and stakeholder engagement programmes. He is also a professional trainer and programme facilitator and has designed and delivered numerous courses on sustainable development including at the Asian Institute for Technology in Thailand, Ramapo College State University in USA, Asian Productivity Organization in Japan, Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations in Malaysia, etc. Since 2015, he has been conducting high level sensitizing programmes on the Sustainable Development Goals across the world invited by UN Agencies, OECD, APO, Universities and several international organizations.

A Sri Lankan born in Rio de Janeiro–Brazil, Uchita de Zoysa is currently reading for his PhD and holds a Master of Business Administration degree. Currently is the He is the Chief Architect of the SDG Transformation Lab, Chairman of Global Sustainability Solutions (GLOSS) and Executive Director of Centre for Environment and Development (CED).

RADICALLY REINVENTED REALITY- A NEW HR PARADIGM

Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri, Professor in Management, is the Director and the Chairman of the Board of Management of the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is the Immediate Past President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Sri Lanka and was a Vice President of the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM).

He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma, USA. He has three decades of both private and public sector experience including Unilever and Nestle. He has engaged in consultancies in almost twenty countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. He is a Commonwealth AMDISA Doctoral Fellow, Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow and a Commonwealth Postdoctoral Fellow. He holds a Ph.D. and an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa. He is a Chartered Electrical Engineer, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management, UK and an independent director of several boards.

Being an author of seven books and editor of the longest publishing management journal in Sri Lanka, he has won many accolades including gold medals for best papers in two international management conferences, Emerald best paper award in 2014, and in 2010 the platinum award by the Alumni of the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIMA) for outstanding academic contribution. He also won the prestigious IPM Lifetime Gold Award 2014, the highest honour for an HR professional in Sri Lanka. Prof. Dharmasiri likes to identify himself as one who transitioned from being an “Engineer of Electrical” to an “Engineer of Hearts and Minds.”

Mr. Dhammika Fernando is currently the Executive General Manager of Tropical Findings (Pvt) Ltd., a Japanese multinational company operating in the FTZ Katunayake and has been working for foreign investments in the KEPZ for the past 36 years. He currently functions as the Chief Officer overseeing HR, Admin, Logistics and Finance in his company. He is a Past Chairman of the FTZMA - Free Trade Zone Manufacturers’ Association, which office he held for five consecutive years until March, 2015. He also serves as a member of the “National Labour Advisory Council” to the Minister of Labour since 2010 and as a member of the “National Wages Board” for the Apparel Trade. Currently, he is an IPM nominated Vice President of the OPA Sri Lanka and a Life Member of the OPA. Dhammika is also a Vice President of the Alumni of his Alma Mater, Maris Stella College and a member of the Alumni of the University of Moratuwa.

Dhammika completed his education at Maris Stella College Negombo; had his academic education at the University of Moratuwa in the field of Engineering; professional education at IPM Sri Lanka (NDHRM) and completed his postgraduate qualifications from the Open University. He also holds an MBA from the Open University of Sri Lanka specialising in HR.

A Corporate Member of IPM Sri Lanka since 2002, Dhammika was elected to its Governing Council in 2007 and has since served as Chairman, YMF (2008/09); Hony. Secretary, (2009/10) and as Hony. Vice President, from 2010 to 2012. During his tenure at the IPM, Dhammika chaired the International HR Conference in 2012, which is regarded as one of the most successful conferences held by the Institute.

He represented IPM Sri Lanka at the CIPD Annual Conference held in the UK, Hong Kong International HR Conference and Bangladesh HR Conference organised by the BSHRM. Prior to joining the Governing Council of the Institute, he has served in a number of standing committees of IPM including the first ever marketing committee.

He partnered Mr. Chandra Hewapaththini in introducing “The Great HR Debate” as a novel feature to the National HR Conference. In addition, he has chaired the Audit & Legal Committee, Finance and Admin Committee, Members’ Lounge Development & HR Ball Committee, and Consultancy & Training Committee for three consecutive years. He currently serves IPM Sri Lanka in the capacity of a Council Member and Co-Chairman of the External Affairs Committee and serves on the board of APFHRM (Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management). He is a ‘Certified HR Auditor’ and also an IPM HR Lead Consultant.

Mr. Dhammika Fernando was awarded the “Global HR Excellence - HR Leadership Award” at the Asia Pacific HRD Congress held in 2010.
